New faces at AIG Private Client Group


AIG Private Client Group is dedicated to providing our brokers with a level of service that is second to none. We are committed to hiring the best insurance professionals in the business so that we can provide our brokers with the support needed to achieve solid growth and meet the needs of their high net worth clients.

We are pleased to announce the following promotions and additions to staff.

Lisa Brannigan is the newest addition to the Westchester marketing team. She has joined AIG Private Client Group as a Business Development Manager for the Westchester, NY area. Prior to joining AIG, Lisa worked for Safeco as a Senior Sales Professional and has extensive Commercial and Personal Lines experience.

Thomas Galbraithwill be based in our New York City offices and will handle Private Collection Management requests for our Eastern Zone brokers and agents. An Art Historian with an MA from St. Andrews University, Scotland, Thomas has a broad range of experience including fine art transportation, museum support and inventory management. He joins us from the Art Loss Register in New York where most recently, he assisted in the recovery of lost and stolen works of art.

Tom Karpinski has been assigned to the newly created North East Region (Boston/Connecticut/Westchester). Tom joined AIG Private Client Group in 2001 as a Senior Underwriter, handling a variety of different territories in both the Eastern and Central Zones. Tom’s management of the former Boston and Mid-Atlantic regions over the past 2 years makes him a great fit for what will be the second largest region in the Eastern Zone.

Brian Melcer has been promoted to the position of Regional Underwriting Manager responsible for the newly formed Capitol Region (VA/Maryland/DC). Brian began his career with AIG Private Client Group in 2001 as a Client Care Specialist. Shortly thereafter, Brian was promoted to Underwriting Technician for the New York City/Long Island territory. Brian was promoted to underwriter in 2002 handling New York and Long Island. Most recently, Brian has been the Senior Underwriter in our Connecticut territory. Prior to joining AIG, Brian was with Chubb for 3 years in various roles.

Todd Triano promoted to the position of Assistant Vice President & Regional Underwriting Manager responsible for the New York Region (NYC & Long Island). Prior to rejoining AIG Private Client Group in March, Todd was the NJ Territory Manager for Fireman’s Fund for 2 years. Todd’s 10 years of experience in the high-net worth niche, which included roles in both underwriting and marketing, while at Chubb and AIG Private Client Group make him a great fit for his new role.

Lana Walters has been promoted to the position of Client Service Manager for the San Diego territory. Lana began her career with AIG in 2001 as the sole Billing Specialist for the Western Zone. She has held various positions in Client Services and has been a critical asset to the Western Zone.

Susan Weber has been promoted to the position of Regional Underwriting Manager responsible for the newly aligned Mid-Atlantic Region (NJ/PA/DE). Sue’s insurance career in the high net worth niche spans 21 years. Her vast experience and knowledge of the marketplace will be an asset to the region and the zone. Sue joined AIG in 2001 and has served as the Underwriting Specialist for the Mid-Atlantic Region for the past 5 years.

Tracy Xu is the newest addition to the New York City/Long Island marketing team. Tracy joined AIG in 2001 as a Management Associate with National Union. She moved into the role of Midwest Regional Manager for AIG WorldSource Crisis Management where she was responsible for overseeing growth and profitability of the Midwest Region by marketing the Kidnap & Ransom, Workplace Violence, Contaminated Products Insurance, and Product Recall coverages. She was promoted to the National Business Development Manager where she led the national efforts to cross sell Crisis Management products in conjunction with other AIG member companies’ product offerings. Tracy joins us in the role of Business Development Manager where she will be managing some of our key broker relationships in the New York City area, aiding them in continued new business opportunities and growth.
